Biba Apparels has appointed Starcom Worldwide as its media partner in India. Biba is a women’s

apparel brand and with Starcom’s help it wants to achieve its marketing goals. Starcom will manage media investments for Biba. The pitch was called by Future Brands, with which BIBA has forged a partnership. Future Brands has a practice called 'brand partnership', which collaborates with Indian entrepreneurs who have brand ambition and investment mindset. Biba is a Punjabi endearment for a young and pretty girl. The brand with a line of salwar, kameez and dupattas started in 1986. The brand stands for fashion at affordable prices. Its ethnic wear takes inspirations from the rich Indian culture and traditional couture crafts. Pure rich fabrics like silks, chiffons and georgettes etc, are embellished with delicate hand embroideries like zardozi, kantha and chikankari, textured with traditional techniques like tie n dye. BIBA was founded by Meena Bindra in 1986. BIBA's first standalone store was opened in Inorbit Malad Mumbai, in 2004. Today, the brand has 71 stores across India.
