in December 2007, and owned by high brow British label Austin Reed, the premium English clothing brand, Stephens Brothers, are feeling positively upbeat. The brand hopes to achieve up to 40 per cent revenue growth this fiscal year and plans to enhance its retail presence through a tie-up with large-format store-chain Central. Ashesh Amin, SKNL Director for Apparel and Retail says they are targeting a 30-40 per cent revenue growth in FY11 and will expand their retail presence through Central in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune.

Currently, Stephens Brothers clothing is available at 17 EBOs across six cities. The brand is retailed by SKNL’s retail division Brand House Retail (BHRL). Amin says they will increase the number of EBOs to 20 in the next two years. By end of this fiscal, Stephens Brothers aims to have 10 additional outlets in large format stores and 10 per cent of revenue to be generated out of exclusive retail outlets like Central. Stephens Brothers plans to acquire a carpet area of around 300 to 400 sq. ft. at all Central stores and will retail merchandise for both men and women, including apparels and accessories.

Positioned as a super premium brand for the Indian consumer, the brand has been ‘Impeccably English’ since its inception. Exemplifying the tradition, the line encompasses the entire spectrum of business attire with superlative fabrics and detailing.
