Suneet Varma designs gigantic sari

Designer Suneet Varma has created a 55 meter long and 45 inch wide embroidered
sari. The `Limca Book of Records’ has also recognized the efforts of the designer and has registered a record in his name for designing the longest sari. Varma took 10 weeks to design this sari while working in association with eight designers and 55 artisans. Costing Rs 8,85,000, the sari is made out of silk-georgette material and has been dyed in various colors like orange, yellow, red, lime green, cobalt blue and fuchsia pink, with a border of three inches embellished with silk brocade and satin patch work.
