Swatch to launch Omega jewelry

The Swatch group, a luxury watchmaker, will introduce Omega jewelry and accessories

in India by early next year. Swatch is also working on strengthening its presence in the country by expanding retail reach for its watch brands. Currently, it’s working on settling the legal issues related to import of perfumes and jewelry but is hopeful of introducing the range either by this year end or early next year in India.

The Omega range will include jewelry, bracelets, cufflinks and perfumes. The jewelry pieces would be priced upwards of Rs 1 lakh, while accessories will be sold from Rs 15,000 onwards. Currently, Omega sells watches in India that bear an average price tag of Rs 1 lakh.

The Swatch Group is an international group active in the design, manufacture and sale of finished watches, jewelry, watch movements and components. The group supplies nearly all components required by its 19 watch brands, and group companies supply movements and components to third-party watchmakers in Switzerland and around the world. The group is also a key player in the manufacture and sale of electronic systems used in watchmaking and other industries.
