TCNS Clothing plans overseas expansion in a year

about achieving strong growth riding on the back of its online and offline business. The decade-old company is looking to online business contributing 10 per cent of sales in next two years. While the company has been witnessing over 40 per cent annual growth in overall sales, the e-business has doubled every year. TCNS had raised about Rs 60 crores fund in 2011 from risk capital firm Matrix Partners.

After strengthening domestic business, plans are afoot to take the brands overseas to places like the Middle East, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Mauritius and Maldives through international partners in the next six to 12 months. The company has seen about 10 per cent orders on its site Shopforw coming from international locations. After launching its first store in 2002 in Delhi's Lajpat Nagar, the company has seen a steady successful journey.

The brands also retail through several e-tailing platforms but fashion portals Myntra and Jabong and Flipkart are its top online platforms. In the offline space, while W with its premium range has a presence across 140 company-owned and franchised stores, Aurelia, the affordable brand, has about 40 stores. The company intends to add 100 stores in the next 12 months at an investment of Rs 50 crores.
