The Bombay Store kicks off ‘India Haat’

The Bombay Store, which set standards for the swadeshi
movement in India more than a century ago has introduced a unique brand called ‘India Haat’ to showcase the cultural diversity of various states from all over India. The Bombay Store has organized this arts and crafts fair, which will showcase a perfect blend of arts and crafts from the royal Indian state of Rajasthan. Spread over 12 days, from February 2, 2012 to February 14, 2012, it is a celebration of ethnic Indian product range such as footwear with sequins, beads and interesting gota work, stylized garments like lehanga skirts, stoles, scarves, bikinis, corsets and cholis coloured with hand block prints, tie and dye, lehriyas, bandini in pure cotton material along with a variety of silk and cotton stoles with intricate kantha embroidery.Along with art and craft, the current Rajasthan-inspired collection also includes unique accessories like classic collection of puppets, traditional embroidered animals, lac bangles, paper jewelry, bags, sun umbrellas and cushion covers in vibrant colours and kantha embroidery. A classic ambience is created at The Bombay Stores located at Fort and Vashi in Mumbai and the M G Road and Market city stores in Pune.
After Rajasthan, The Bombay Store will celebrate art and crafts of different India regions over a year, where every few months, exclusive regional collections will adorn the store shelves along with the existing categories.
The Bombay Store
