The Bombay Store, which set standards for the swadeshi movement in India more than a century ago,

is looking at spreading its wings by introducing more signature stores in all the fashion hubs around the globe. Though the FDI issue is yet to reach a political consensus, the Indian retail industry is already on the path of entering a new era, so the Bombay Store too has opened its gates to foreign investment.

As a part of its retail strategy, the store having its flagship outlet in Mumbai is planning to expand to other regions of the country. It currently has presence in some southern and western cities of India. It has also launched an online e-commerce platform citing the consumers’ shift towards e-shopping.
