Toonz the brand for children up to 12 years is looking at increasing its store count. The company has 50 stores,

35 of which are in South India. The others are in Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. It is targeting setting up 200 stores in the country in the next 5 years, of which at least 10 would be in Kerala. The investment in every store ranges from Rs 20 to Rs 40 lakh.

Toonz stores range from 1,200 to 2,000 square feet. They offer clothes, crayons, prams, puzzles, walkers diapers et al. In 2012, Toonz introduced two new brands. Wowmom, for children up to three years, that offers chemical-free clothing, accessories and nursery products. And Superyoung, a fashion brand for children.

Promoted by Ankur Aggarwal, and managed by a team of highly experienced professionals, who are pioneers in the fields of retail with expertise in marketing, sales and operations, merchandising, e-commerce and finance, Toonz opened its first store in Total Mall in Bangalore in 2010. The company is eyeing a turnover of Rs 100 crores by the end of the financial year 2015-16. It is planning a capex of around Rs 20 crores in the next 2 years.
