Trezo brings ‘racks on rent’

Kolkata’s Forum Courtyard mall’s new 42,000 sq.ft. extension spread across three levels

has a new retail outlet –Trezo. It’s bringing international apparel and cosmetic brands to discerning customers through a unique ‘racks on rent’ concept. Forum Group offers designers racks on rent to showcase their collections within a mall that is designed as a posh boutique with classy interiors and sober yet stunning lighting arrangements.

Trezo rents out racks for three months or more to designers. It means they don’t have to manage the retail. According to Rahul Sara, Managing Director of Forum Projects this is a baby step forward to an optimistic business strategy along with promoting new talent in the fashion industry.

Trezo spread over a 2,700sq. ft. area, houses collection of designer clothes, shoes, accessories, bags and bridal wear for a wide range of buyers and purse sizes. On display are collections from Vasavi Shah, Nupur Gupta, Shilpa K, Stuti Modi and labels such as Verve and Fikshion. Well-known brands such as Kisses and Kyra by Komal Sood are also present along with racks on rent for upcoming designers.

“We’ve tried to provide upcoming designers with a retail infrastructure and give them a platform to mark their presence and display their creations at a minimum investment,” says Kamna Saraf, who is supervising the project. The racks are rented out at Rs 25,000 per month or 35 per cent of the sale, whichever is higher.


Besides Trezo, the glitzy Forum Courtyard also creates a perfect ambience for international brands such as Mango, Aldo, Charles & Keith, Mother Care, Anita Dongre, Sisley, Sunglass Hut, Da Milano, Boggi, Alcott, Inglot, Tie Rack, The Body Shop, Rolex and Black Label Samsonite brands among others. With Courtyard, the company is also stepping into a new domain that of its own retail division.
