Vikram and Malini create Malaga magic

The result of the professional union of celebrated designer,

Vikram Phadnis with the highly acclaimed accessories designer, Malini Agarwalla of Malaga fame, can only be described as magical. They have launched their second boutique at The Gallery on MG Road, New Delhi. This is their first flagship store in Delhi. Phadnis says the store is an amalgamation of “soulful heritage with true urban influences.” The size of the store and the uniqueness of the merchandise set’s it apart from others. “India is now ready for a whole segment of luxury shopping and this boutique offers the customers just that,” he adds.

The luxurious store located on the first floor of the trendy shopping destination, The Gallery on MG Road is spread over an area of 2,400 sq. ft. The interiors are rendered in cream and gold walls with wooden flooring, accented with a huge zardozi backdrop and a striking black chandelier. Phadnis offers a kaleidoscope of fabrics in vivid colors on gentle fluid drapes. Designed by Malini Agarwalla, Malaga specializes in carefully handcrafted casual and evening bags, belts, footwear, fashion jewelry and a vast trousseau line.

Their first boutique was launched in December 2009 in Juhu, Mumbai. This venture also debuted Phadnis’ exclusive prêt collection for men, further adding to his divergence as a designer. The boutique also houses an in-store wedding consultation studio in association with Dream Kraft, making available custom made designs, planning and execution of their dream wedding.
