Vikram Phadnis designs for TV wedding

Big Boss continues to keep the nation enthralled with every move tailored to keep the fans buzzed. This time it was the lavish wedding ensemble and trousseau for the wedding that took place on the show between TV stars Sara Khan and Ali Merchant. Designer Vikram Phadnis was roped in to create the wedding ensembles and trousseau for Sara Khan and Ali Merchant. It may be noted Phadnis is well-known for his bridals and he put up a colorful show at a recent bridal week held in Mumbai.

Phadnis designed the ensembles for both the bride and the groom, along with fashioning their complete look, including selecting their hair and make-up artistes. Spotted recently in Delhi sourcing material for the event, Phadnis  said, this is a different experience as he is putting together special outfits in just two or three days. He sourced kundan and jadao polki jewelry from Jaipur, which is exotic and would go well with Sara's outfit. The bridal lehenga for the nikaah was vibrant, colorful and contemporary. The ensemble was embellished with gota and kundan embroidery in artistic motifs. For Ali, the designer created a sherwani in subtle and soft colors. Embellished with antique gold, it was teamed with a patchwork stole.
