Designer Vineet Bahl has opened a 600 square foot store at DLF Emporio, New Delhi. He is next looking at Mumbai

and hopes to expand into a full-fledged chain. He feels an exclusive store will aid in interacting directly with customers, something a department store doesn’t allow. Bahl studied fashion in England and launched himself as a designer of conceptual western wear in 2007. He was the first Indian designer to retail on the popular online portal Net-a-porter. He now offers two labels, Vineet Bahl, and his Indian ethnic wear line Vineet Bahl Premiere which was formally introduced to the Indian market at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week's autumn/winter ’13-’14.

The designer is known for innovative texture combinations and fluid silhouettes. His target audience is the confident women who straddle cultures and geographies. His outfits are not necessarily for slim women. His Autumn/Winter ’13 range was inaugurated with outfits in the Chikankari embroidery set on an all ivory palette. Sheeshas adorned the dupattas of the opening outfits. His main markets are the US, Middle East, Japan, India.
