The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has partnered

Vogue India to launch an annual fashion fund, similar to the one existing in the US, UK, Italy and China. The fund will give young designers financial support, mentorship and opportunities to promote their lines in major retail stores.

“More than 3,000 to 4,000 graduates come out every year from fashion institutes, struggling to find their place in the fashion world,” said FDCI president Sunil Sethi. A jury featuring renowned designers Manish Arora, Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Suneet Varma will select five finalists from 20 shortlisted designers. Past winners of the Vogue Fashion Fund in the US include Joseph Altuzarra, Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler.

Vogue India brings the best in global and Indian fashion, beauty and culture as well as interviews with trendsetters across the worlds of style, music and art as well as key figures within the fashion industry. Vogue also has an official website in India for the magazine and publishes daily updates from the world of style. In partnership with the magazine, the website also features exclusive behind-the-scenes videos with cover girls and Bollywood stars, and is accompanied by two mobile apps, Vogue Stylist and Vogue 365.

A not-for-profit organization, FDCI is the apex fashion council of India. Represented by over 300 designers, FDCI takes Indian fashion global by promoting the 'business of fashion'.
