Voi Jeans eyes India expansion

Preston, UK-based apparel brand Voi Jeans is looking at expanding its retail footprint in India

by opening stores in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad during the current year. The brand had entered India in November 2011 with its offerings of special pieces keeping the needs of the Indian consumer in mind. It has plans to fill the need of structured and engineered denim brand in the country. The brand has also brought in its menswear range of denims, shirts, T-shirts and polo shirts. The brand is aimed at fashion conscious men between 18-28 years.

According to Asif Bux, Director, Voi Jeans the brand saw gap in the Indian market for structured and engineered denims which no other brand so far has tried to address. Voi Jeans with its ‘Engineered for you’ philosophy is looking to introduce products which are made to fit this gap. The brand’s collection was launched in India through shop-in-shops for the autumn/winter but now plans to launch its own brand outlets. Currently the brand is present in Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Mumbai’s Central stores.

Besides India, Voi Jeans is also carrying out expansion plans in several European countries including France, Holland, Switzerland, Sweden and Denmark.
