W plans aggressive retail expansion

In a bid to expand its reach and give tough competition in the

cluttered women’s wear market, ‘W’ the brand from TCNS Clothing, is planning to spread its footprint across India. It’s looking at opening 120 stores in 60 cities apart from extending its product basket.

W is a leading women’s wear brand which designs, manufactures and retails contemporary fashion apparel and accessories for the modern Indian women. The company is targeting another 50 stores in 2013. Apart from metros, Tier II and III cities, it also plans to penetrate into 15 new markets like Jorhat, Siliguri and Kottayam. And apart from opening exclusive stores, it would also look at other channels of retailing to reach out to the target consumer.

As a part of product expansion plan, W is planning to introduce an exciting mix of wardrobe essentials like palazzos, denims, colored denims, jeggings, drapes, cocktail kurtas, kurtis, short kurtis to name a few. It will soon be launching maternity collection that has been designed to work around an expecting mother without her having to worry about changing her wardrobe as she progresses from one trimester to the other.
