WIFW: Manish Arora is finale designer

Fashion Design Council of India has announced the

show schedule for the upcoming Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, A/W 2013 along with the list of designers participating at the event. This season of WIFW A/W’13 will see 128 designers - a mix of leading and upcoming ones - from all over the country. Designer Manish Arora’s show will bring the curtains down on the five day event. Arora is also showcasing at the Paris Fashion Week. The collection to be showcased at WIFW is their latest Autumn/Winter collection and is the same as the one being showcased at Paris Fashion Week.

The much-awaited fashion fiesta will take off on March 13, with designers showcasing their magnificent creations. The five-day fashion event will be organised at Hall no 18, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The focus will see on innovative themes and out-of-the-box conceptualizations through 32 shows which will wow the runway.

Announcing the list of designers, Atul Chand, Divisional Chief Executive, ITC’s Lifestyle Retailing Business and Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said, “Designers have the power to influence global fashion with their unique designs. These myriad style gurus are ready to showcase their creations both on the runway and exhibition area. The interesting mix of innovation, creativity and tradition will usher in the best at the WIFW Autumn-Winter showing, this season. I wish them the very best for the upcoming show.”

The fashion gala will flag off with Masaba Gupta’s collection for Satya Paul. And Manish Arora will the finale designer to close the fashion week. Some of the other established names whose works will be seen include Tarun Tahiliani, Samant Chauhan, Shantanu and Nikhil, Vineet Bahl, Nikasha Tawadey, Namrata Joshipura, Abraham and Thakore, Anju Modi, Manish Malhotra, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Anand Bhushan, Nida Mahmood, Charu Parashar and Ranna Gill.
