As a pan India fashion week, the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion

Week (WLIFW) 2011 – to be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from April 6-10, ’11, will be showcasing the work of 61 talented designers as a medium of solid representation across different geographical zones. The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has announced the star-studded list of ramp designers at Asia's biggest trade event focused on the business of fashion. It’s spread over five days and aligned with prolific business opportunities. “WLIFW has been scaling new heights, edition after edition and I compliment all the designers in making this the country’s most prestigious event. There is great synergy in the association of our premium lifestyle brand Wills Lifestyle with the event and we look forward to further strengthening the strong and deep–rooted partnership that we have established with the fashion fraternity,” says Atul Chand, Divisional Chief Executive of ITC’s Lifestyle Retailing Business Division.

As part of its commitment for nurturing and promoting designers in the Indian fashion circuit, the FDCI has revealed the names of the 15 designers who will be showcasing under the coveted Hi-5 Category. The selected labels and designers include Bhanuni by Jyoti Sharma, Dozakh by Kartikeya & Isha, Jaya Rathore, Chandrani Siingh Fllora,  Divyam Mehta,  Dolly J, Komal Sood,  Mrinalini,  Niket & Jainee,  Pallavi Jaipur,  Rahul Singh,  Ritu & Rochana,  Saaj By Ankita,  Sonia Sarin and Sylph By Sadan Pande.

Three dedicated slots in the Hi-5 Category would be allotted to these upcoming, designers, who will be given the chance to showcase their talent for both prêt and diffusion lines.
