Yepme secures additional funding from existing investors

Online fashion store Yepme.com, owned and operated by Gurgaon-headquartered Vas

Data Services, is said to have secured additional funding from existing investors, including Helion Venture Partners.

The platform recently tied up with Bollywood actor, director and singer Farhan Akhtar to create a Yepme anthem with music from Ehsaan and Loy, which would be unveiled soon. The company is said to be selling almost 400,000 products per month. Founded by Sandeep Sharma (COO & CTO), Vivek Gaur (CEO) and Anand Jadhav (President) in 2010, Yepme, a private label only e-tailer, offers apparels, watches, specs, footwear and other items.

After, handing over its media duties to Havas Media through a multi-agency pitch, Yepme has launched a new web platform – Yepmeworld.com to woo global NRI customers towards India-made fashion. While the global site currently displays at Indian ethnic wear, company soon plans to offer western fashion wear too. And in next four months, the platform would also allow its global shoppers to shop using their local currency.

Yepme reported revenues of Rs 140 crores in fiscal 2014 and is targeting to double it this fiscal year. The company is aiming to be profitable in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015. In December 2012, Forbes India magazine ranked Yepme.com as one of the top five start-ups to watch out for and in February 2014, Stylophane ranked fashion brands across the world on social index where Yepme ranked 19th worldwide.
