After handing over its media duties to Havas Media through a multi-agency pitch,

Yepme has launched a new web platform, Yepmeworld.com, to woo NRI customers towards India-made fashion. While the global site displays Indian ethnic wear, the company plans to offer western fashion too. And in the next four months, the platform would also allow its global shoppers to shop using their local currency. Though, experts view it as a difficult market to crack with large international players like H&M, Marks & Spencer, Zara and Asos ruling it, Yepme claims that there is potential to establish India-made fashion abroad.

Yepme follows a fast-fashion model, where the process from design to sale is achieved in less than six weeks. The company also intends to follow the H&M model of roping in celebrities for brand endorsement. Yepme reported revenues worth Rs 140 crores in fiscal 2014 and is targeting doubling it this fiscal. The company is aiming to be profitable in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015. In December 2012, Forbes India magazine ranked Yepme.com as one of the top five start-ups to watch out for and in February 2014, Stylophane ranked fashion brands across the world on social index where Yepme ranked 19th worldwide.
