Yishion to widen reach across India

Hong Kong-based retailer Yishion Group plans to open 25 Yishion outlets, including flagships,

and 75 shop-in-shops across India by 2013. In India, Upmarket Group is Yishion’s partner. The Delhi-based marketing and distribution firm Upmarket also markets brands like Pepe Jeans, Lee Cooper and Adidas. The new venture will launch its range of men’s and women’s wear initially and expand the portfolio to include kids’ wear, footwear and accessories by next year. Yishion plans to import the products from its manufacturing plant in China and will target the mid to premium price segment. Over the last two years, Yishion brand has already invested in India in terms of market research, surveys, contact with leading retailers across India, development of Yishion India Team, and now the company has earmarked its further expansion plans along with the investments for the next three years.

As of now there are 15 Yishion Zones (shop-in-shops), two exclusive brand outlets and one flagship store in Delhi. The retailer already has a presence in Delhi, Punjab, UP, MP, Rajasthan and traces in Bangalore and Goa. Along with opening new stores, Yishion India will spend Rs 3 crores a year on sophisticated marketing campaigns all round the year, seasonal and festive promotional activities and internationally shot and crafted brand campaigns. In the next three years the company also plans to open 100 point of sales. They are aiming at 25 exclusive stores including the key flagship stores and 75 shop-in-shop formats - Yishion Zones.
