Big Shoe Bazaar basically caters to three kinds of customers. First are those who live in remote areas of the country and do not have easy access to the best products at affordable prices. “We have seen orders pouring in from places like Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tonk in Rajasthan, Ballabhgarh in Haryana,” says Aggarwal. Second is the convenience based consumer, who is cash rich and time poor. They work with big companies in large metros and are extremely comfortable with shopping online. Third are the deal-based consumers those who frequent the net in search of good deals. These include college students, corporate executives, housewives etc.
The firm offers every payment option for the customer. “From debit and credit cards to online transfers to I-mint points to pay pal. You name it, we have it. The objective is to make the experience as hassle free as possible for the consumers,” avows Aggarwal.
Nearly 80 brands both national and international are associated with the company. This includes the likes of Adidas, Nike, Reebok, Florshiem, Puma, Bata, Provogue among others. With an aim to be a one stop shopping destination for all footwear needs, Big Shoe Bazaar has separate and comprehensive product categories for men, women and children. They also offer over sized shoes, therapeutic shoes, and adventure sports shoes. The entire supply chain is tracked on a real time basis. “As of now we have close to 2,000 styles displayed on our site which shall increase to 5,000 by the end of next month. We also have a very lucrative and robust brand loyalty program in place for our regular customers. In addition to that we have a referral program where 10 per cent of the purchase of the referee is credited to the referrer,” avers Aggarwal.
Currently, an online multibrand shoe outlet, they also have franchisee owned MBO's in the name of Bigshoebazaar.com. At present they have five stores which are located in Patna, Chandigarh, Bahadurgarh, Goa and Gurgaon. Aggarwal says, “We are always on the lookout for suitable locations and likeminded partners to expand our walk-in retail stores. However, we are not being overtly aggressive on this front.” Big Shoe Bazaar has grown at a mind numbing pace of 400 per cent in the last fiscal and for this year they are targeting a growth rate of 1000 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
