Blueman range is mostly present in all markets of India that witness winter. The company is supplying to 500 MBOs including some big counters like Globus, Ritu Wears Big Life and C&M among others.
Kumar says, Blueman collection has a good potential to grow in Gujarat so the company is looking to add the new market to its existing retail network. “In the next two to three years, we will add some 100 more MBOs to our network,” Kumar says, adding, “We are also planning to hike our production, which will enable us to tap online market. We will probably be online by next year.”
Brand’s product portfolio
For Autumn/Winter season, the brand has introduced leather washes. Elaborating on the product portfolio, Kumar says, “After washing, we give the PU material a good effect. About 80 percent of our range is fashion. We do a very small range of lightweight jackets since we focus on medium weight jackets.”
Blueman’s range is for men and women. The brand was launched in 1995 starting with jackets. “When we started off, manufacturing was not a problem but marketing was a big challenge, which we did ourselves. The overall journey for our brand has been challenging. We are satisfied with the brand positioning and image in the market today,” avers Sunil Kumar.
The company’s line of jackets starts from Rs 1,995 goes up to Rs 3,995 and coats start at Rs 2,200 and go up to Rs 5,000. “We are making more than 60,000 jackets and coats. We also have mufflers for Rs 495 for men,” he adds.
