Having seen demand for its club wear range, Brook Street has unveiled a collection of unstructured blazers. Commenting on the new product expansion, Kapil Sewani, Creative Director & Media Relations, Kapital Exports says, “We

would be introducing some technical fashion blazers and denims as well. We are also in the process of studying the market and women’s wear seems a very promising segment and we plan to enter into this space soon.”

Product additions and new range on the anvil

Brook
Street is an independent handcrafted limited edition label by Bradford & Stanley Designs a Sussex-based design company. In India, In India Kapital Exports (a venture by Supreme Group) is the export division of the brand. It’s also the all Asia licensee of Brook Street. “The idea behind launching Brook Street is to introduce high fashion limited edition products for the modern man. First, we are in the process of making our distribution and retail stronger. The brand is available in 25 MBOs in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Agra, Ranchi and states of Chattisghar and Gujarat. For further growth through expansion, we will be looking into new investments,” says Sewani.

As of now the company is focusing on finding new stores which are willing to experiment with a limited edition category brand. “Our marketing is around our strong point, which is our product. We will be focusing on that and will be introducing different products for the Indian market,” he adds.

In India, Brook Street is relatively new and depends on MBOs for retail as this is where it is getting maximum sales. There is a lot of appreciation for limited edition hand made products internationally and Brook Street is exported to Spain, while a store in Dubai is in the pipeline.

Product subcategories

“Brook Street has sub-categories in which our club wear products have seen highest growth. Seeing this growth and with encouragement from our retailers, we have introduced club wear shirts. The fabric for these shirts are sourced from an Italian mill. We have seen good response in this category and will be concentrating more on our club wear range,” Sewani elaborates.

The brand has introduced unique washed cotton chinos this season. Autumn is about colours. So the focus this season is to invert the bottom wear market by introducing cotton chinos. The theme for the season is: ‘Be Nautical’. The company’s product line reflects this theme.

Bradford & Stanley provides all designs and trend inputs, which the brand’s studio and manufacturing unit based in Mumbai produces and exports. They also make same designs for the Indian market.
