Expecting a volume growth of over Rs 50 crores compared to Rs 32 crores last year, Dollar Industries is optimistic about business this winter. “We are presently at Rs 456 crores and hope to cross Rs 550 crores in the next two years.

Since 1996, Dollar has evolved into a recognized brand in hosiery segment. We hold 15 per cent share of the total Indian branded hosiery segment. The overall branded segment is nearly Rs 2,500 crores, its steady growth will eat up a lot of non-branded category, which along with branded hosiery industry is a staggering Rs 10,000 crores market,” states Vinod Gupta, MD, Dollar Industries.

The
brand introduced new designer thermals ‘Dollar Ultra Magic’, made with modern style that is fit for all day comfort last winter. “The product is a stretch fabric to fit all body contours. It has a state-of-the-art grid layer that improves heat retention throughout the body. Ultra Magic is especially made with Amino Silicon softness that gives excellent elastic properties, exceptional softness and silky finish that is capable of withstanding repeated washing cycles. The warmth offered by the thermal underwear makes it useful in the winter and its svelte design does not make you feel like you are overdressed,” explains Gupta.

This season’s collection also includes ‘Dollar Ultra Thermals’, made from 100 percent super comb Siro clean cotton yarn which is guaranteed to provide warmth and comfort like no other. Elaborating on the brand’s USP, Gupta says, “At Dollar, we understand the importance of good underwear in the lives of the customers. Therefore, we make all possible efforts to keep our designs comfortable and stylish. The products have been divided into six categories: men, women, leisure, thermals, socks and kids.

From a humble beginning in 1996, Dollar today, has become a force to reckon with in the innerwear market. As Gupta says, “Today the company’s reach spans 26 states, making us one of the country’s top five hosiery undergarment manufacturers. Dollar received three national awards in 2006, 2007 and 2009 for best brand and excellence in men’s innerwear segment from CMAI.”
