Duke to foray into sportswear

that the brand has got in the past. Duke Fashions had earlier received the coveted MSME National Award for manufacturing quality garments from the President of India, an ISO 9001: 2008, certificate for maintaining TQM in all the units, Leader’s of tomorrow award 2010, retail excellence award by DFU Publications among others. Duke has also been proclaimed the number one selling T-Shirts brand in India by ORG-MARG in their survey. On the business front, the brand now plans to foray in sportswear and increase its retail reach.


Sportswear, the new extension

With
turnover of about Rs 200 crores, the company is targeting Rs 275 crores while entering new product categories and expanding its retail presence. “We are targeting sales and production jump of 30 per cent. Plans are afoot to increase shelf space, more penetration in organized retail, exploring exports and new markets and opening 100 more EBOs,” opines Kuntal Raj Jain, Director, Duke Fashions.

The brand has over 300 EBOs, and is present in over 4,000 MBOs and all major large format stores. It’s also sold online through its own e-portal dukeindia.com and all the major fashion and lifestyle sites.

As a part of its product expansion, the company now plans to foray into sportswear segment. As of now, Duke provides an endless range of products to suit every tastes, this includes T-shirts, jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts, tracksuits, thermals, jogging suits, shirts, denims and trousers, lowers, bermudas, shorts, value packs, lounge wear and accessories for men, women and kids.
