The company is present on some shopping sites and expects a growth of 50 to 80 percent in this segment. E-business is already doing well in the US and UK.
Wide product range
For this season, the brand has done embellishments like Swarovski, patchwork and sequins. Jain says, these are value additions because the market is saturated with designs. The product range consists of scarves, kurtis, winter coats, tunics, tops, leggings, shrugs and crepes.“In scarves, we have woolen jacquards, woolen prints. These are bright in colours. Coats are wool based and slim fit in shades of red, black and teal. Kurtis have highlights, fusion of fabrics, and fusion of textures in the fabric and woven lines. We also do summer wear. For summer, we have scarves and loose fitted garments like kaftans in neon colours, new fabrics and new prints,” explains Jain.
The company has been in textiles business since 1954. It has been exporting to many countries and major brands since 1996. “In 2011, we thought of launching our own collection in India and started with a collection of scarves in MBOs. Then we went into women’s wear. We have kurtis, winter tweed coats, kaftans, tunics, tops and leggings,” says Jain.
The company has a fully integrated unit with in-house spinning, weaving, dyeing and process house, with 120 powerlooms, 40 handlooms and 30 shuttle-less dornier rapier looms with fabric widths ranging from 190 to 340 cm, and multi gauge hand-flats for knitting.
