The idea behind conceptualizing this unique term Kristian Aham for the designer label was to showcase the communication of two gods Krishna & Christ (Love of two Gods). The designers behind the brand Vikrant Khosla & Himanshu Mittal, Directors

of Kritian Aham started off by launching a flagship store in December 2012. “Now we are planning Indian and western wear for both men and women. This will enhance the look and increase the value of outfits. We are trying to make permanent customers. And this year we are looking at opening another showroom in South and West Delhi,” they say elaborating on their future plans.

“Each
collection of Kristian Aham’s compliments the sensibilities and thus one can find perfect harmony. The label takes its roots from traditional and western wears of modern women who enjoy bold, contemporary pieces that provide directional styling to her wardrobe,” the duo explains.

Khosla & Mittal found their calling in fashion early. Both discovered their innate talent for fashion design at Pearl Academy of Fashion Institute. Khosla further went for higher studies in fashion at LDT Nagold University, Germany. Both have been awarded for the best use of traditional skills (2011) with a degree in fashion.

Talking about the latest offerings, the duo say, “Our latest take on the fashion trends would be use of the bright colors and to play with cotton & linen. We have a lot going on actually. We have come up with a Spring/Summer collection, comprising of traditional dresses, tunics, peplum dresses and blouses, sheath dresses, saris, sharara and anarkalis.”

Motifs in champa and lilies are intricately embroidered with pearls, sequins and hand embroidery in these outfits. Colours like sunflower yellow, coral, candy pink, baby pink, whites and lime green lend a fresh touch to the collection. “The fabrics used are georgettes, chiffon, cotton and nets, and can be worn for a summer lunch or evening. There is a chic yet boho feel to this collection,” they add.

Kristian Aham’s bridal collection has various styles like Indian suits whose range starts from Rs 20,000, Bridal Touch starts from Rs 50,000 and men’s wear starts from Rs 15,000. It also has the elegant anarkali and sharara collection to suit all occasions.
