Libra will unveil a new lingerie range this summer

After launching a sports bra range under the brand name ‘Tit Lit’, molded cup bras under ‘Reteen’ and hosiery printed sets under brand name ‘Teasin Print’, Libra Products is all set to launch cotton bras in ‘D’ cup and colourful T-shirt bras for the teenagers. With the aim to expand its product

offerings, the company is also looking at increasing its production capacity to cater to rising demand. Explains Dhiraj K Mehta, Partner, Libra Products, “We are planning to shift our unit outside Mumbai to expand our manufacturing in the next financial year.”

Expanding
product range

The exclusive Libra products comprising of brassieres, panties and slips were launched into the Indian market in 1982. Since then the company has come a long way creating a name in the Indian and international market.

“We make products right from teenager to older women. The collection comprises of regular bras, T-shirt bras, padded bras, fancy sets and hosiery sets. Our MRP is from Rs 130 to Rs 350 for only bras, in sets we have a range from Rs 260 to Rs 580,” says Mehta, elaborating on the entire product line.

With plans to expand its capacity and new product additions, the company is looking at establishing a strong footprint in the market.

Expanding retail horizon

Libra enjoys a presence in leading MBOs and retail outlets in metros. It has a presence in Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkatta, Northeast, Gujarat, Rajasthan and South India. The company has recently appointed new distributors and agents across cities and is hopeful of achieving good sales.

After establishing a network of dealers, the company has spread its wings in the international market as well and is working hard to create a name there. “We have not yet started selling online but in the future, we are planning to sell online so that we can sell our products worldwide. We are already getting enquires about online selling and women are enquiring about our products from small cities, where we don’t have a presence. In the future internet is going to be a much bigger platform to sell any product and it can be seen already,” avers Mehta.

The company has never compromised on quality for quantity. “Our motto is, we do not alter our designs under pressure from competitions but have always tried to give the best and will continue to do so in the future. Quality and comfort have always been an integral part of Libra Products. To achieve this, the company uses high technology and machines. Special efforts are put in designing keeping in mind current fashion trends and customers' choice,” sums up Mehta.
