Today, Louis Philippe is a brand leader in formal and quasi-formal wear in the country.

New product offerings

Louis Philippe has launched earlier its sub-brands including LP and Luxure. LP by Louis Philippe has an exciting range of shirts, trousers, T-shirts, suits, jackets and accessories to put together a youthful wardrobe. Luxure, the masterpiece collection, was created to deliver sartorial elegance for the refined connoisseurs. Louis Philippe recently made a foray into the footwear segment, offering more than 40 exciting designs apart from offering a range of soft luggage.

“Flamboyant, traditional and expressive is what Louis Philippe’s Autumn/Winter 2013 collection is all about,” exclaims John Jacob, Brand Head, Louis Philippe, adding, “Inspirations include travel to the beautiful Peru – the inspiring Andes, the amazing Amazon rainforests, and colours vibrant beyond belief. Shades like shimmering greens, yellows, browns, purples, navy blues and slate greys come alive in this plush collection. Detailing shines through in the form of prints inspired by indigenous motifs and patterns as cutaway shirt collars, turtle neck sweaters, scarves and jackets dominate the collection.”

For this winter weddings, brand has created contrast coloured shawl collars, tuxedos, a Chinese collar kind of look and so on. “We are innovating for Spring/Summer 2014. We have products with lighter colours. We have a vibrant and lively range with new silhouettes, cuts and fits,” adds Jacob.

Expanding retail reach

Louis Philippe is present in 170 EBOs and all large format stores as well as 400 leading MBOs across India. Elaborating on the retail plans, Jacob says, “We are expanding aggressively. Next year we may open around 40 EBOs. Madura has an online store and we are selling through that. We are also present on Shoppers Stop’s online store.”
