Lure set to explore export opportunities this fiscal

“We witnessed a long winter season last year. It was good for both manufacturer and retailers. We are eyeing 15-20 percent a growth in this financial year,” says Vinay Aggarwal, Director, Sears Knit while talking about his business expectations.

Lure, the winter wear brand has introduced some new blended fabrics with cottons in jackets for the forthcoming season. “The regular colour palettes in jackets are earthy shades. This season we have also added some bright colours. The major range of jackets with us is in cotton and different blends,” adds Aggarwal.

-based Lure was incepted in 1987. The mother company Sears Knit is recognized as a leading manufacturer and supplier of exclusive range of jackets and coats. Its extensive range of products includes cotton jackets, polyester jackets, twill jackets, winter jackets, fur jackets, nylon jackets, sherpa fabric jackets, pre winter jackets and heavy winter jackets among others.

“These are highly in demand for their exclusive styles, superior fabrics, unique designs, perfect stitching, clean finishing, color fastness, high strength and durability. Our state-of-the-art infrastructure is well equipped with advanced machines and tools. For a smooth and hassle free operation, we have segregated our infrastructure into various units. Our products are fabricated using premium quality factor inputs procured from reputed vendors who hold a prominent position in the market for their superior quality raw material. These products are tested by our quality analysts to ensure that they are highly comfortable and meet the various industry standards,” explains Aggarwal.
The company’s main focus is providing quality products at the affordable prices. “We own a capacious warehouse unit to store a vast amount of finished products. Our warehouse is segregated into various divisions and is labeled accordingly, which helps at the time of delivery,” states Aggarwal.

Lure is present in some 300 MBOs across India along with Globus and Ritu Wears. States like Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab are its strong markets. Talking about retail expansion plans, Aggarwal says, “We will strengthen our existing markets by increasing the depth. Every year we wish to increase 10 percent of our MBO network. We want to step into the national large format stores soon and will initiate talks with corporates like Lifestyle. On the export front, we have queries for UK, Russia, South Canada and are planning to consider this in the current financial year.”
