Marc Cain to launch stores in Delhi, Bangalore

After getting a great response from its exclusive brand stores in Mumbai, German Fashion brand Marc Cain is all set to step its presence in other metros like Delhi and Bangalore. The brand is focusing on retail growth and eyeing 200 percent growth in the near future.

Spreading presence in metros

With its unique positioning as a classy and chic western wear brand, the company is confident about its growth in India. Marc Cain already has three company owned

stores in Mumbai at prime locations like Bandra, Juhu and Napean Sea Road. The company further plans to add two more outlets with an average area of 1,000 square foot at the prime high street locations in Delhi and Bangalore.

In the second phase, the brand would also look at markets like Hyderabad and Chennai. However, the expansion plan for Marc Cain in India would be consistently phased out as the domestic market for western wear is still evolving. Currently the brand is focusing more on promotional activities using print audio visual and out of home and eyeing almost 200 percent growth in India.

Wooing fashion conscious Indian women

Headquartered in Germany, Marc Cain is a popular premium fashion wear brand for women. The brand’s product portfolio in India is priced between Rs 5,900 to 7.5 lakh. “As a bridge to luxury brand, the opportunity for Marc Cain in India is huge. In the last few years, the customer base of fashion conscious and independent working women has been growing steadily simply because in major metros, there has been a clear shift in fashion trend,” explains PunitAgarwal, Managing Director, Vemb Lifestyle.

Marc Cain has a wide product portfolio that includes shirts, tops, cardigans, pullovers, jeans, pants, skirts, dresses, vests, jackets, blazers, coats , outdoor jackets and fashion accessories. 

Owing to rising demand for branded western wear for women in the domestic market In India, the brand was launched in 2007 in partnership with Vemb Lifestyle and ever since it has been growing at a fast pace, catering to the growing segment of fashion conscious, contemporary urban women between 24 to 50 years. The brand offers its merchandise under two major labels: Marc Cain Collection which is a prêt to couture line; and Marc Cain Sport which offers the sportswear line of the brand.
