MBA, Club Fox: Where growth is a way of life

Nagal Garment makers of brands Club Fox and MBA has achieved great milestones in building up its consumer base. And this autumn/winter it’s going all out to woo customers with new collections. To begin with it is planning to launch winter

suits and blazers by mid-October under Club Fox. The blazers will be available in the range of Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,800 and suits from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500. For the blazers a new fabric called twit containing 80 per cent cotton has been used. The new collection is being retailed through their EBOs. “Under the brand name MBA, we are planning to launch formal shirts as well as formal trousers. The range of formal shirts will be Rs 500 to Rs 800 with various color combinations. Cotton fabric with stripes, plains in slim fits will be used for the collection,” Arvinder Singh, Retail Head, Nagal Garment, says.

The company offers casual wear under both its brands. While Club Fox is retailed through their EBOs, MBA is a brand for MBOs. Nagal has a centralized server at Mumbai where it gets updates about demand for the relevant styles, colors, sizes and fashions. New designs are introduced to the market every quarter. Stock is reshuffled regularly in fact, this year there are more options open to the consumer.

Targeted at 18 to 35 year-old-men MBA is a mid-segment casual wear brand offering casual shirts, denims and casual trousers. Club Fox ‘s offerings include formal shirts, casual shirts, T-shirts, denims, formal trousers, cotton trousers for men and in winter wear we have jackets, pullovers and sweat shirts. The brands also differ in their retail reach. While MBA is sold in seven states, Club Fox is sold through EBOs in Tier I, II and III cities. Singh says, “Simultaneously, we are planning to get into smaller towns. We are 25 per cent in metros and 75 per cent in Tier II and III cities. We are planning to focus on eastern India like Kolkata, Assam, and Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh in the south.”

Club Fox has 200 EBOs in 13 cities across India. “All the 200 EBOs under Club Fox are franchise based and we are planning to push up the number to 300 stores by the end of the year,” adds Singh. MBA is retailed through the distribution channel whereas. The brand has seven to eight distributors in cities like Raipur, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Kochi and it’s also supplied to states like Assam, Bihar. “We have grown by 50 per cent since the last fiscal and expect to maintain the same growth cycle in the next two to three years,” sums up Singh.
