NCS to warm up winters with new designs

Retailed through MBOs, this year NCS plans to spread horizontally and vertically with more emphasis on vertical expansion. “Vertical growth is the core focus this financial year. We aim to increase our market share by increasing the sales with our existing retail partners. By horizontal growth we intend to add more MBOs and dealers who are in region that we don’t reach out to yet. This means tapping smaller cites and metros across India directly and through distributors,” says Vaswani.
NCS also has a few sub brands such as NCS Men, NCS Angels, NCS Brat, NCS Women (Fashion), NCS UW2 (Urban Winter Wear), NCS VP (Value Pack), NCS Polo. The strength of these brand lines in its printed chest T-shirts. This range runs throughout the year and is available across 596 MBOs. As a pre-winter wear, they come out with a long sleeved range, usually at the end of August, priced around Rs 395- 495 because if it’s heavy fabric. Vaswani adds, “This pre -inter winter wear is apt till November end or early December. It’s more like a pullover”.
The uniqueness of the brand lies in the fact that it offers a range of sizes. “We have done NCS Women where we make fashion tops. The advantage of these tops are the sizes they come in. We start from small and go up to 6XL. This means that the same style can cover a girl with a 26 waistline and another whose waistline is big.” Talking of the business aspect Vaswani says that their turnover currently is over Rs 7 crores. They are targeting double digit growth for the coming year.
NCS
