Jains predicts winters will be very chilly this year and therefore, a lot of people are moving from off whites to colored thermals. “All age groups are accepting thermals and we have already started our booking and thermal launches. We have had dealer meets for the same so as to acquire the maximum shelf space.” Perhaps one reason why he has started early is because of the tough competition in this space. “We face competition not only in thermals but also in innerwear and activewear category. Fashion changes fast and so do consumers preferences. Keeping up with changing consumers needs, wants and desires we not only have to keep modifying our products but also our looks and styles.”
The brand is also looking at major retail expansion and foraying into EBOs. They intend to open 100 more retails points across India. “We will target all LFS having good brands with them and will open 25 EBOs across India.” After a positive response to their factory outlets in Ludhiana now Neva is venturing into other cities. Delhi and cities in Punjab, Haryana, J&K, Rajasthan, Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh are in their radar for EBOs. Besides it is also entering into retail showrooms through either self-managed or the franchisee model. “We are catering to the basic necessity of leisure/comfort/active/clothing for life. We want our products to be available at a stones distance from consumer’s homes,” avers Jain.
The brand is also venturing into exports and is aiming to be the brand leader in thermals “We see a lot of prospects abroad and are having capacities to fulfill domestic and international demands too,” says Jain. The brand is also planning to launch an IPO to strengthen investments and growing pattern of the company which is a part of their long term planning. With a current turnover of Rs 75 crores the brand aims to touch Rs 100 crores by next year.
