Designer duo Niket and Jainee known for their brand JN are looking at adding more products to their existing portfolio. As of now they offer tunics, kaftans, anarkalis, saris, lehengas, jackets etc, in the future they are looking at adding men’s

wear and accessories.

Men’s wear in
the anvil

Untill now JN has been offering women’s wear. The prices start at Rs 5,500 and goes up to 2.5 lakh. Essentially JN is a tag which carries with it warmth of tradition and a personal touch from both of them. Their aim is to spread happiness, colour and reach out to the world with their creations. But now product expansion is on the cards with accessories and a men’s wear collection. Niket and Jainee also plan to introduce bridal wear globally supplying to branded stores all over the world and exporting to Japan, Slovak, Middle east, South Africa etc. The designer duo will be showcasing the new prêtline at Wills India Fashion Week, Delhi and launching bridal wear from their Haus Khas village store in October. The duo already has three stores in Delhi.

Sharing a belief that fashion resides in one world, Niket and Jainee started small, but dreamt big, with a strong desire for blending the dreams conceived with the world of reality. Their clothes represent modern India, where rich heritage and ancient culture co-habit with the western thoughts and contemporary ideas. The JN impression is all about gusto with a smattering of feminine flirtatiousness. Playing in an arena where clones can be produced at the blink of an eye, Niket and Jainee have struggled to make a mark and have achieved their forte in contemporary cuts and indo-western outfits dyed in sub muted hues.

Upcoming collections

For the upcoming season the duo have worked with geometric edges, sharp stripes and seamless symphony of striking ebony and subtle ivory, the timeless combination of black and white, and revamped them in a range of fusion and ethnic wear for today’s women. “This is the season of glitz, glimmer and all that shimmers. From sensational sequined long kaftans to eye catching long dresses, halters and dazzling tops will be in fashion, even drapes are one of the hottest trends,” say Niket and Jainee. Elaborating further they add, “This season looks will be mist like net, chiffons, georgettes and satins are in abundance. Movie star glamour will be evident from not just the dance floor as pretty feminine elegant ladylike dresses but also at the sports field.”

The new collection will have brilliance, textures and radiance with class. The gold trend is just stunning, that cannot be missed. Chocolate brown, teal grey, emerald green, ruby red and mist blues will be the colours and shades of the season. Neon colours will stand out this in shock-a-bloc hues. Flapper fashion makes a return. The hemline will rise to the knees with playful details like feathers, crystals and pearls. One can wear with leggings to make it a fusion statement. Garments teamed with swarovski crystals, incrusted bodice on blouse and net yokes with delicate patch and cutworks is also in this season.

“Silhouettes for this season are long sherwanis, anarkali styled dresses, body covering kaftans teamed with contrasting colour tights to accentuate waist in full lengths and further on to layered look as well as sarees with elegant sequins crochet blouses. Sensuous silks sheer chiffons, rich jersey and soft satins have been transferred into elegant and gracefully draped silhouettes.”
