“Winter has arrived on time, so we expect a good season. I think we will run out of stocks in 15 to 20 days and witness a growth by 20 to 25 per cent,” says an optimistic Ramesh Bedi, Director,

Junior Knits makers of brand Palmer. It’s aimed at kids six months to 12 year of age. Going ahead, the brand plans to add infant wear to its product portfolio.

The
brand has added a range for girls tops, woolen frocks, and suits this winter. For boys, the collection includes jackets and pullovers. Elaborating on the offerings, Bedi says, “Last year, pullovers did well. We use polyester fabrics for jackets. This season is witnessing bright colours like orange, blue, rust and royal shades in trend.”

After launching Palmer into 1989, and getting immediate acceptance at some of the best retail stores, the company is now looking at expanding its portfolio by adding infant wear to its range.

Its boys’ line is for ages six months to 12 years. The range consists of biker-style jackets, cardigans and half-sleeve as well as reversible pullovers. The price range for jackets is from Rs 750 to Rs 1,100, for pullovers its Rs 350 to Rs 900. “Last year, we launched a line for girls called Palmer Princess. It is for girls one to nine years. Palmer Princess has jackets, cardigans, and tops with price range of Rs 350 to Rs 900,” explains Bedi.

Palmer is retailed through in 250 MBOs like C&M and Ritu Wears Biglife. “We have a presence across India but our strong market is the north especially, Delhi. Last year, we went back to Assam. We also export to Bangladesh and Kathmandu, Nepal,” Bedi sums up.
