Ludhiana-based exclusive winterwear e-commerce portal Woollen-wear.in is planning to expand its reach across India and internationally. Launched by Emarketing Solution, Wollen-wear.in also wants to add more products to

its current offerings. Elaborating on the plans, Vivek Gupta, Founder, Emarketing Solution says, "We are planning to expand internationally soon. Currently woollen-wear.in is self funded going forward and expanding in future we may go with investments."


Additions in the product line

The
portal is now planning to launch winter blankets, the complete range of winter coats, winter boots, and a range of leather wear for winters. “I am planning to source these from the existing brands in the market. We are largely concentrating on domestic labels. Recently, we added women’s winter kurtis. We will also add the complete range of women’s cardigans this winter.” Also on its agenda is new additions like kids’ winter blankets, baba suits in a few days, to complete the kids’ portfolio. “Then we would add other categories,” adds Gupta.

Gupta foresees the e-retailing market size growing 10 folds in the coming years. “The winter collection is also specific to territories. For instance, if you go towards Bangalore, they demand lighter jackets made out of cotton. While the rest of India where winters are heavy want heavier jackets.” They have a warehouse in Ludhiana, to cater to customers and soon plan to add new ones in other locations.


Online brand stores and expansion plans

Woollen-wear.in allows other brands to run stores on its platform. As Gupta explains, “Anyone can apply for showcasing their brand on our portal, our quality assurance team personally makes sure products are 100 percent as per quality and will fall under 30 days return policy. We are happy to add all leading brands serving quality products on our portal. Leading labels like Lure, Omesh, Kidax, Perry & Berry, Echo, and Protex have tied up with the platform to retail their range online. Site displays close to 500 unique designs. On the expansion front, the company is already in talks with someone in Sweden, Australia and South Africa. “I want to initially start with five to six countries, tie-up with them and have a domain extension,” avers Gupta.
