Abhishek’s Dutta’s bohemian freedom

The label Abhishek Dutta personifies an unmistakable combination of bohemian freedom with subtle sensitivity. Dutta is a brand with a difference. Winner of Smirnoff International fashion award and an award winning student of Wigan & Leigh College, he believes in creating garments with a difference. He focuses on wear ability along with a futuristic look by combining unconventional fabrics like denims, velvets, leather, etc. with various ancient embroideries and futuristic cuts. His creative talent ranges from women's wear to menswear, ethnic as well as western and extends to accessories too.

His recent collection inspired by Neel Bidroho, the farmers protest against the British for the cultivation of Indigo had clothes with a simple layering, fluid drapes and clean minimalist detailing. Dutta says the collection is not a protest against society or culture but it’s about a cause, and that’s saving mother earth. He used Indigo, and natural dyes to keep it simple. There were hints of velvet on fairy whites a refreshing change but that did not abandon the simplicity of the collection.
