Beyonce wears Farah crown

The list of Indian designers dressing up international celebs seems to be growing by the day. The latest is jewelry designer Farah Khan Ali. Pop star Beyoncé Knowles has worn a crown in the artwork of her album, 4 made by Ali. It’s an elaborate Swarovski crystal crown, bursting with orange, yellow and brown crystals and pearls. It’s funny how something jewelry designer Ali had intended to be used for a fashion event called ‘Runway Rocks’ ended up on the head of a top singer. But that’s what happened and one explanation is that Beyoncé’s stylist was responsible for the change of plan.

But Farah Khan Ali, Hrithik Roshan’s sister-in-law and DJ Aqeel’s wife, is over the moon as she sees this development as a slap in the face of those who dismiss her as a mere dilettante, who just happens to have the connections and influence to make things happen. Her jewelry has already been worn by Serena Williams and now this trained gemologist wants to adorn the likes of Angelina Jolie and Rihanna. It may be noted that Runway Rocks, is a Swarovski catwalk show where cutting-edge international designers display their creativity with crystals for jewelry, fashion and interiors.
