Renowned names from the Indian fashion industry came forward to present their haute couture collection at the just concluded ninth edition of Blenders Pride Fashion Tour. The finale show was opened by Gaviin Miguel, who took inspiration from English rock band Led Zeppelin’s famous chartbuster Stairway to Heaven, for his collection Warriors of heaven on earth. Based on a rich palette of pewter, gold, wine, deep blue, champagne and black colours, the 55-piece line included angelic style luxuriously flowing metallic gowns.

The fashionistas of 1920s and 30s were an inspiration behind Bollywood’s favourite Neeta Lulla’s latest range. Accented with tassels, asymmetric cuts and feminine silhouettes, the sheer cinched-in-waist ensembles featured cylindrical shapes and peek-a-boo details.

Designer Vikram Phadnis presented an intricately embellished collection made from luxe Indian fabrics. The line included stylish jalabias, detailed lehengas, caped kalidars and kotis, Patiala pants teamed up with tight fitted kurtis in tones of black, ivory and cream.

Inspired from the works of celebrated American composer and songwriter Cole Porter, Wendell Rodricks created his youthful range titled Red, Haute and Blue. Fit to be worn both to beach-side parties and red carpet events, the line included exquisite styles in shades of fuchsia, orange, blue and green. The fashion tour, held across six Indian cities, also showcased collections from famed Indian couturiers like Falguni & Shane Peacock, JJ Valaya, Pankaj & Nidhi, Rocky S, Suneet Varma and Tarun Tahiliani.
