‘Dayaans’ on the ramp

To announce the release of her supernatural film ‘Ek Thi Daayan’, producer Ekta Kapoor recently organised a party and a fashion show by designer Jaya Misra. After holding fashion shows at Belgrade and Vancouver, Misra found this opportunity of coinciding her Gothic sub-culture-inspired designs with the launch announcement of Bollywood flick ‘Ek Thi Daayan'.

An atmosphere was created with faux human body parts hung from the ceiling and skeletons popped up from behind doors at the Gothic party. Kapoor walked the ramp along with Huma Qureshi and Konkona Sen Sharma, the two leading ladies of the film, wearing black robes. The film showcases two facets of a Dayaan (witch)…one is pretty human face and the other is from the world of skeletons and skulls.
