Tommy Hilfiger Arvind Fashion (Tommy Hilfiger India), licensee of the Tommy Hilfiger brand in India, hosted an in-store to celebrate the opening of Tommy Hilfiger children’s wear stores in the Palladium Mall and Breach Candy, in Mumbai. Olympic medallist Mary Kom and her twin sons Rechungvar and Khupneivar attended the event.

The store interiors are designed to reflect Tommy Hilfiger’s iconic American roots and preppy heritage. Traditional wood panelling and Ithaca striped wallpaper in preppy blue tones feature throughout. Playful touches – such as vintage furniture and unique artwork – provide a youthful backdrop to the classic American cool spirit embodied by the brand.

“As a parent, I’m thrilled that Tommy Hilfiger has launched children’s wear stores in Mumbai,” said Kom. The Fall/Winter 2012 Tommy Hilfiger children’s wear collection, ‘Pint-Sized Preps’ is inspired by the quintessential young-American prepster: He likes his letterman sweater paired with broken-in denim and his sporty rugby polo as an alternative to a sweater. She borrows a blazer from the boys, adds a ribbon trimmed tee and colourful skirt or mixes it up by pairing argyle prints with nautical styles. Targeting boys and girls, between 3 months to 12 years old, this youthful collection offers a wide selection.

With a premium lifestyle portfolio that includes Tommy Hilfiger, Hilfiger Denim and Tommy Girl, the Tommy Hilfiger Group is one of the world’s most recognized designer apparel destination. It operates in India through a joint venture with Arvind that markets and sells the Tommy Hilfiger apparel, handbag and footwear collections in India. Tommy Hilfiger-branded products are distributed in India through a network of more than 54 stores and shop-in-shops in 65 cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh and Hyderabad.
