Kreativ’13 displays fresh talent

Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT), Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA) & Amity School of Performing Arts (ASPA) organised the annual fashion & art festival Kreativ’13 on March 21, 2013. Kreativ’13 hosted an array of activities that included a fashion show by the graduating batch students of BSc (Fashion Design), inter-college fashion show & choreography competitions, fashion apparel & retail conference, a talk show with eminent fashion designer, Gaurav Gupta and art exhibition by graduating students of ASFA.

The event kicked off with a fashion show by graduating students, followed by an inter-college fashion show & choreography competition ‘Razmatazz’. More than 15 well-known institutes participated in the event. The first prize for Fashion Show competition was awarded to FDDI (Footwear Design & Development Institute).

On April 3, 2013, a fashion, apparel & retail conference was organized as a part of this mega-event. Senior people from reputed organizations were invited to speak on ‘Building Competitive Strategies for Fashion & Apparel Industry’. The event culminated with the inauguration of an art exhibition which showcased the work of students of Amity School of Fine Arts. Well known artist, Seema Kohli, fashion designer, Gaurav Gupta and Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, (ASFT, ASFA & ASPA) inaugurated the event. Apart from Salma Ansari (wife of Hamid Ansari, Vice President of India), Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Amity University, Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, (ASFT, ASFA & ASPA) and Pradeep Joshi, Director, (ASFT, ASFA & ASPA) visited the exhibition.

This annual event provides an exclusive platform to students for displaying their talent to industry veterans, media and the academic community. The event also invites industry experts to share their views on contemporary topics, so that the audience could gain from the knowledge.
