Opening the first day of fashion extravaganza ‘Amby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week’ in New Delhi, ace designer JJ Valaya showcased his collection ‘The Maharaja of Madrid’. He brought alive an old world charm of India and Spain on the ramp. Bollywood celebrities, Kabir Bedi and Kangana Ranaut walked the ramp dressed as the king and his daughter.

The stage was decorated in white and models dressed like royals welcomed the Maharaja and his daughter from their adventures in Spain. The show, divided into five sections, began with a jugalbandi of Indian classical dance form Kathak and Spanish dance form Flamenco. While Ranaut sashayed down the ramp wearing an orange-golden lehenga teamed with a blue velvet choli and golden headgear, whereas Kabir Bedi, who played the Maharaja on the ramp, wore a maroon sherwani teamed with a turban.

The beautiful motifs on the dresses were inspired by works of Mexican artist Diego Rivera and the entire collection was in multiple shades of white, beige, black, red, green and orange.
