Elegance, sophistication and style is the new flavor of the season and all these traits can be seen in Manju Agarwal’s ‘Past Continuous’ collection for the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2010.

Her inspiration has always been a bold western palette. Her theme ‘Past Continuous’, allows past and present, thoughts and events, to intermingle seamlessly, creating a stream of consciousness that moves from one to another, communicated through objects and shared experiences. She has used a variety of silhouettes and fabrics such as stretch lyrca, flatbed and knit for her latest collection. Her collection pertains to the modern women. Since it’s a prêt collection, all her dresses are A-line, high necks and no high raising hemlines. The colors are muted and highlighted with embellishments, prints and beautiful pieces of lace.

Use of textured knits with the Indian styling characteristically enlightens the ensemble. Accessories such as pom-poms and knitted ribs as neck piece are actually continuing to the garment.
