After introducing quirky motifs including lipstick, telephone booth, scissors and safety pins, young designer Masaba Gupta introduced firework prints for her Spring/Summer 2015 collection at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW). In tune with the festive season, models walked the ramp in ensembles dominated with the firework pattern and crackers on their braids as hair accessory. She also introduced a jewellery range having prominent neckpieces.

The other motifs on the outfit were zodiac prints like the weighing scale of Libra and Capricorn's goat. The designs ranged from Indian wears like dhotis, anarkalis, sarees to western wears such as wide-shorts, high-waist skirts and jumpsuits. The colour palette focused on shades of yellow, red, black and gold. There were straight cuts, earthy motifs of zodiac signs and embellishments like splinters of diamonds.

Known for her quirky fashion sense, Gupta was also recently roped in by Women’s International Cricket League (WICL) to create women’s cricket apparel. Her design label Masaba will be associated with WICL as the official sporting apparel design partner. Gupta is also the Fashion Director of luxury brand Satya Paul.
