Rajasthan Fashion Week celebrated glitz and glamour with designers showcasing fresh and vibrant designs. The focus was on heavily embellished lehengas, kalidars and palazzos teamed with straight fit kurtas as a part of bridal collections.

Sonaakshi Raaj kicked started the second day with her collection ‘From Eden with Love’. Sensual silhouettes in shades of greys and blacks were seen on the ramp. Charu Parashar's Ode to Royalty bridal couture saw elegant cuts with a modern twist. Lehariya saris teamed with embellished jackets and kalidar kurtas in shades of orange, yellows, and greys. Lots of embroidery and Swarovski added to the richness of her collection. Rajkumari Jayanandini Singh walked the 80 feet long ramp in a heavily embellished red colour lehenga with an odhni over her head.

However, the showstopper of the day was Padma Bhushan Ritu Kumar herself. A jam packed room, a medley of songs from the black and white era and models swaying away in a gorgeous black and white kalidars and lehengas, set the mood of the evening. The colour palate shifted to warmer shades of orange, pink, green, gold. Structured lehengas teamed with gota pati work jackets recreated the magic of Royal Rajasthan.

On the third day, Mandira Wirk and the Grand Finale by Neeta Lulla also saw them sticking to bridal couture. Sheers, velvet, chiffons and georgettes dominated both the collections. While Wirk’s collection began with mild shades of beiges and peach progressing into warmer colour palate, Lulla’s gorgeous block printed palazzos, embellished odhnis and brocade lehengas were the highlights of the entire fashion week.
