Designer Nivedita Saboo unveiled her Autumn/Winter collection during the ABIL Pune Fashion Week 2013 recently. A galaxy of attendees from various genres including actors, socialites, designers, buyers, politicians, entrepreneurs and more were present to appalaud Saboo’s Rome inspired collection.

Bollywood actors Vivek Oberoi and Jacqueline Fernandez were the showstoppers. They wore aristocratic hand embroidered sherwani & lehenga respectively studded with diamante and kundan with unique digital prints. The entire collection of 56 ensembles added a striking charm to the climax of a stunning collection.

Deeply inspired by the architectural grace and constructions of Rome, Saboo’s assortment had elements of Roman art, cuts, layers, drapes and silhouettes that mimicked the lithography of old temples, ancient artifacts, and the ‘instita’, a Roman inspired wide ornamental borders. Indian aesthetics and its traditions were infused to create a fantasy with crystal and thread embellishments, which further enhanced the gorgeous ensembles with exemplary designs.
