Sonam’s pink sari at PFW

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, known for her style statement and flaunting global designer labels, sashayed down in a sari at Elie Saab Couture Fashion show in Paris recently. She wore a plain pink sari by designer Deepti Pruthi, with elaborately done white border and added an intricate lace shrug by Elie Saab to her overall very Indian yet classy look. Instead of picking up a western outfit, she decided to wow the audience in her Indian avatar clubbed with a touch of couture with Elie Saab full-sleeves shrug in delicate lace. The close-neck sleeveless blouse with exquisite work on the neck completed the classy look. And what’s more, her loop earrings with pearls perfectly matched her fashion week ensemble.

She is not the first actress to don an Elie Saab, even international icon and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan chose to wear an Elie Saab dress with a similar shrug from the designers Spring 2011 collection when she attended the Prix de Diane Longines at Hippodrome de Chantilly in France in June last year.
