Style Week peps up Pune

The Signature Premier Pune Style Week that took off with a party at Hyatt Regency was followed by an enchanting showcase of designs by designers Mona Pali from Kolkata, Nitya Singh from Pune and Rocky S from Mumbai.

While Monapali’s designs labeled ‘Monapali’ were ruled by ankle-length anarkalis with flairs and straight-cut kurtas teamed with lehenga-styled skirts in variety of shades, her showstopper for the show, Simran Kaur Mundi walked the ramp in a black sari.

Nitya Singh’s showcase ‘Attitude’ saw models walking the ramp in variety of saris in black and white polka dots to monochromatic stripes interspersed with neon colours and floral patterns. A line of checked saris in red and yellow however caught audience’s attention.

The highlight of the day was renowned designer Rocky S’ closing show. Models sashayed down the ramp in glamourous evening dresses inspired by vintage English fashion from the ’20s to the ’40s. His collection was clearly inspired from the vintage fashion from England.
